What Does the Home Inspection Process Look Like?
Whether you are buying, selling, or maintaining your home, TruVue Inspections provides professional and quality service from the moment you reach out. Our licensed home inspectors will walk you through your home and inspection results, teaching you as much as you want to learn.
We will explain the general condition of the home and its systems, take you through our findings and point out any unique features.
All of our findings will be detailed in your easy-to-read report and delivered electronically (typically on the same day). From your report, you will be able to see the items we discussed along with images and recommendations.
TruVue Inspections Visually Inspects and Reports on the Following:
Structural Systems
Foundations, grading & drainage, basements, walkways, and floor, wall and ceiling structures.
Exterior
Wall coverings, flashing, trim, decks, grading, surface drainage, walkways, patios, driveways, garages and associated systems.
Roofing
Roof coverings, drainage systems, flashings and skylights, chimneys and other roof penetrations.
Electrical Systems
Service entrance and panels, branch circuits, connected devices and fixtures, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and making sure your outlets are GFCI-protected.
Plumbing
Fixtures and faucets, water supply systems, drain, waste and vent systems, water heater, vents, flues and chimneys, and any sump pumps or fuel storage and distribution systems.
Safety and Quality
We identify safety and quality issues, letting you know when a Specialist may be required to further evaluate a condition.
What a Home Inspection Is Not:
Technically Exhaustive
We don’t dismantle systems.
X-RAY Vision
Although we can do some analysis with thermal imaging, unfortunately we can’t see behind walls, insulation, and the internal workings of systems.
Cosmetic Deficiencies
A detailed list of every minor issue in a home.
